Here at The Three Spaniels we care passionately about our immediate surroundings and the environment generally. Though we are far from perfect we try to do what we can to reduce our contribution to global warming. That includes reducing our use of plastics, reusing and recycling where possible, growing as much of our own veg as we can (organic of course) and managing our land with a view to supporting local wildlife and our very own colony of honeybees.
We’ve already planted over 100 native tree saplings which were a birthday present (thanks Mum and Dad! ) since we arrived in June 2018, but we still have plenty of space for more trees, both in our existing woodland and patches of land currently covered by bracken and bramble. There are also gaps to be filled in our hedgerows and we’re looking to improve the diversity of native species.
We are therefore now pledging to plant one tree for every holiday booked with us in 2020. These trees will be sourced from The Woodland Trust and planted when the time is right – that’s November – March in West Wales. Visitors to our website will be able to keep tabs on how many trees have been pledged and of course there’ll be photos and updates when the planting has taken place. Our guests will also be able to see the trees ‘in the wood’ (so to speak!) whilst enjoying their holiday with us as most of our land is open for our visitors to explore.
So, what are you waiting for? Book a luxury glamping trip with us and we’ll pledge to plant a tree for you – help us to reach our goal to plant another 100 trees by 2021!
