At the beginning of what has turned out to be a funny kind of year for everyone, we pledged to plant a tree at The Three Spaniels for every 2020 booking. The good news is that, despite being closed for 6 months, we have still managed to clock up 38 bookings this year so far which means at least 38 more native trees will grace our landscape. We’ve made a start on the planting with ten saplings kindly donated by my mum and dad (thanks guys!) who grew them from seed. These youngsters have been added to the small copse overlooked by the Shepherd Hut which we planted in late 2018. We’ll be adding to them over the next few weeks with more saplings from the Woodland Trust and perhaps a couple of fruit trees.
There’s still some availability for 2020 but we will continue this scheme into 2021 and beyond, at least until we run out of land!
